Blacklisted Email Addresses
As we progress with our new emailing back end, refinements and new functions are giving us previously unavailable in depth real time analysis of what is actually happening in the mailing process.
One important aspect is how many Users are actually using Blacklisted email addresses as their “From” address! That obviously does neither them, other SendReach Users, or SendReach itself anything other than HARM! It CERTAINLY damages SendReach’s reputation with the ISPs and Spam Blocking Applications, which effects EVERY User. It also beggars belief that anyone in our business would use an email address to send from without checking that address’ status first.
We check against the 5 Blacklists most used by the major ISP and Spam Filters
spamhaus.org
sorbs.net
barracudacentral.org
surbl.org
invaluement.com
We shall be checking that factor in every List Setup in future as you access it, and blocking and blocking the use of any blacklisted “From” or “Sender” Address. Where a mailout is blocked – you will be notified.
The same applies to the use of a blacklisted domain in the content of an email, for example in a link. Those are also checked and a mailout incuding such a domain will be blocked. Where a mailout is blocked – you will be notified.
The same checks are already in place for would be Subscribers to any SendReach List, and should anyone attempt to subscribe using an email address of a Blacklisted domain, then their subscription is not accepted, and they see this warning message.
Rejected Email Address
The email address you are trying to subscribe with is on our known quarantine blacklist. Please use a different email address and try again.
